This book is part of a great series of books, Eleven, by Lauren Myracle, is just one of her five books in the series. This series is about a girl named Winnie who goes through a lot of life struggles.
In this book, Winnie has a friend that isn't always nice to her. Her name is Amanda. Amanda's personality is different than Winnie's. Amanda is up-beat and fashionable. Winnie's personality is kind and a little curious. Winnie meets a new friend at school named Dinah. Dinah is a girl that Winnie discovers is actually more like her than Amanda. Winnie finds out that its not about what you look like or what your background is.
Winnie doesn't like changes and she doesn't want her relationship to change with Amanda. She definitely doesn't want her body to change like the others that have already developed in her class. Winnie is scared of the changes that will happen, but she can't do anything to stop them.
I think you should read this book if you are in 4th-6th grades. This book is a little inappropriate for younger grade levels. In this book it talks about the changing of the body a few times. I love this book because it is realistic fiction. If you like realistic fiction you'll love these books too.
"Fresh and lively. Laugh along with Winnie as she advances to her 12th year." - Publishers Weekly.
You should read this book for a fun read now!!
